Electric Heaters for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Heating components for process water systems, jacketed vessel temperature control, pipeline temperature maintenance and utility heating in pharmaceutical production environments.

Component Supply for Pharmaceutical Facilities

UniTherm supplies industrial electric heating components for indirect process and utility support in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. If your application has specific compliance, documentation or material certification requirements, include these in your enquiry so our team can confirm what is available.

Process Water and Utility Heating

Pharmaceutical facilities use heated water and thermal fluids in utility systems. Immersion heaters and circulation heaters can serve temperature maintenance in storage tanks, distribution loops and heating circuits. The sheath material must be compatible with the medium; include your material requirements (grade, surface finish, material test certificates if needed) in your enquiry.

Screw-plug and flanged immersion heaters provide direct heating in tanks. Circulation heaters heat water or thermal fluid in a flowing loop. Watt density selection depends on the medium and flow conditions.

Jacketed Vessel Heating

Jacketed vessels used for reactions, mixing, crystallisation and distillation often require heated thermal fluid or water in the jacket circuit. Immersion heaters, flange heaters and circulation heaters can heat the thermal medium before it enters the jacket.

In this indirect heating arrangement, the heater contacts the heat transfer medium rather than the pharmaceutical product itself. The heater specification depends on the medium, the jacket volume, the temperature range and the required heating rate.

Pipeline Temperature Maintenance

Heat tracing cables maintain pipeline temperature along pipe runs. Trace heater selection depends on the pipe diameter, the required maintain temperature, the ambient conditions and the insulation. Include your pipeline specifications and any facility-specific approval requirements in your enquiry.

Utility and Facility Heating

Air duct heating elements, tubular heaters and finned heaters serve HVAC and utility systems in pharmaceutical buildings. These are standard industrial heating applications.

What to Include in Your Enquiry

When requesting a quotation, include as much of the following as possible:

  • Application (process water, jacketed vessel, trace heating, utility)
  • Whether the heater contacts the pharmaceutical product or only the utility medium
  • Material requirements (stainless steel grade, surface finish if specified)
  • Compliance documentation needed (material certificates, if any)
  • Dimensions, wattage, voltage
  • Medium being heated and target temperature
  • Mounting arrangement (flange size, screw-plug thread, etc.)
  • Quantity required

Industry Questions

What compliance documentation can you provide with heaters for pharmaceutical applications?
Include your documentation requirements (material test certificates, specific material grades, surface finish specifications or other compliance needs) in your enquiry. Our team will confirm what is available for the products you need.
Can you supply immersion heaters with specific stainless steel grades?
Immersion heaters are available in various sheath materials. State your material requirement (grade, surface finish and any certification requirements) in your enquiry and our team will confirm availability and quote accordingly.
What should I include in an enquiry for heaters used in a pharmaceutical facility?
Include the application (utility heating, jacketed vessel, pipeline maintenance), the medium being heated, required material grade and surface finish, any compliance or documentation requirements, dimensions, wattage, voltage and quantity. If the application is in a classified or regulated area, state the applicable requirements so we can assess suitability. ---
